Through research, program evaluation, newsletters, and other activities, the Veterans Emergency Management Evaluation Center (VEMEC) serves as a resource for emergency managers, clinicians, researchers, the Veteran community, and more.
VEMEC’s diverse staff profile and its partnerships with other institutions enable a unique interdisciplinary approach to address many of today’s most urgent emergency management issues.
Based in Southern California at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, VEMEC collaborates with local, national, and global partners to develop and improve preparedness for Veterans. VEMEC provides expertise from a multitude of scientific and clinical disciplines, and serves as a vital resource within and outside VA.
Through its work, VEMEC helps support the Veterans Health Administration as a national leader in emergency management.
