This video highlights a number of evidence-based approaches being used to prevent underage alcohol use in Vermont. This video was produced through the SAMHSA/CSAP Underage Drinking Prevention Education Initiatives (UADPEI) in an ongoing collaboration with States and Territories to produce videos that support local underage drinking prevention communications efforts. Across the Nation, every State and Territory is unique and so are their approaches to preventing and reducing underage drinking. The video project supports the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Strategic Initiative #1: Prevention of Substance Abuse and Mental Illness, which states, "... prevention of underage drinking [is] a priority for States, Territories, Tribal entities, universities and communities."

yous should lower the drinking age to 16, because then children under 16 will not feel the sudden urgency to grow up so fast, and the 16 year olds will grow tired of drinking after a very short space of time, look at france for instance, children just dont care about alcohol, its like drinking a soda or something, over in ireland its a big deal, and because its illigal that just ENCOURAGES under age drinking

This is the exact problem in the United States. The 21 age is not the best solution at all because of its "INFLUENCE on the YOUNG society". Influence ?... yea. That's the word. It Influences binge drinking. And the problem is that 18 year olds know they are adults. But they don't feel that. They end up doing something, they still can't do. Which is drink, and drink a lot, to make the most of it, before getting caught. 90% of accidents related to alcohol are "Off' Highways. It's 2010. Not 1984.
