	National Women's Health Information Center The OWH was established in 1991 within the US Department of Health and Human Services. OWH coordinates the efforts of all the HHS agencies and office involved in women's health. OWH works to improve the health and well-being of women and girls in the United States.
	Fiesta Education Fiesta Educativa is one of the few organizations in the entire state of California that is dedicated to empowering the Latino families of persons with special needs through education, training referral, and information.
	Diversity Rx Diversity Rx is a clearinghouse of information on how to meet the language and cultural needs of minorities, immigrants, refugees and other diverse populations seeking health care.
	Indian Health Services Fact Sheet Members of federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Tribes and their descendants are eligible for services provided by the Indian Health Service (IHS). The IHS is an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services that operates a comprehensive health service delivery system for approximately 1.8 million of the nation's estimated 3.2 million AI/ANs.
	Language and Cultural Access Program The Language and Cultural Access Program (LCAP) was initiated in 1994 in collaboration with local community, public and private health organizations and with support from Kaiser Family Foundation and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation through the Opening Doors initiative, and the Ridgecliff Foundation. It was developed out of concerns over the increased language barriers which non-English speakers face within managed care systems of service delivery.
	The Multicultural Project Presented by Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights (PACER) PACER currently employs several members of diverse cultural groups to work with parents. Multicultural staff persons meet with and provide individual information, assistance and advocacy to parents and family members who have children with disabilities. In addition, staff regularly meet with leaders in their own communities to discuss how to increase and improve services to families. Workshops are held locally to discuss various topics, and to increase awareness of state and federal laws that have been passed to ensure that children with disabilities are treated fairly.
	National Health Service Corps - Bureau of Health Professions The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) is committed to improving the health of the Nation's underserved.
	The Cross Cultural Health Care Program (CCHCP) Established in 1992 with a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation the CCHCP was a response to an increasingly urgent need to decipher and to negotiate the diverse health care needs of the growing non-mainstream, limited English speaking populations in the Seattle area.
	Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library The Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library serves the educational, research, and clinical needs of health professionals, students and researchers at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center and through-out the Intermountain region.
	Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSEP) The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) is dedicated to improving results for infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities ages birth through 21 by providing leadership and financial support to assist states and local districts. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) authorizes formula grants to states, and discretionary grants to institutions of higher education and other non-profit organizations to support research, demonstrations, technical assistance and dissemination, technology and personnel development and parent-training and information centers.
	National MultiCultural Institute - Leading with Diversity Founded in 1983, the National MultiCultural Institute (NMCI) is proud to be one of the first organizations to have recognized the nation's need for new services, knowledge, and skills in the growing field of multiculturalism and diversity.
	Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Resources from HHS List of resources presented by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
	Meaningful Access for People Who Are Limited English Proficient LEP.gov promotes a positive and cooperative understanding of the importance of language access to federal programs and federally assisted programs. This website supports fair, reasoned and consistent implementation of Executive Order 13166, Title VI, and the Title VI regulations regarding language access. This site also acts as a clearinghouse, providing and linking to information, tools, and technical assistance regarding Limited English Proficiency and language services for federal agencies, recipients of federal funds, users of federal programs and federally assisted programs, and other stakeholders.
	Health Care for All (HCFAMA) in Massachusetts Health Care For All is dedicated to making quality and affordable health care accessible to everyone in Massachusetts. We seek to educate Massachusetts residents about our health care system and encourage you to join us in changing it.
	National Technical Assistance Center for Children's Mental Health The National Technical Assistance Center for Children's Mental Health is dedicated to helping states, tribes, territories, and communities discover, apply, and sustain innovative and collaborative solutions that improve the social, emotional, and behavioral well being of children and families.
	Coordination and Review Section of the Civil Rights Division - Department of Justice Title VI, 42 U.S.C. § 2000d et seq., was enacted as part of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964. It prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. As President John F. Kennedy said in 1963: Simple justice requires that public funds, to which all taxpayers of all races [colors, and national origins] contribute, not be spent in any fashion which encourages, entrenches, subsidizes or results in racial [color or national origin] discrimination
	The BUENO Center for Multicultural Education Since 1976, the BUENO Center for Multicultural Education has been an integral part of the School of Education at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Through a comprehensive range of research, training, and service projects, the Center strongly promotes quality education with an emphasis on cultural pluralism. The Center is deeply committed to facilitating equal educational opportunities for cultural and language minority students. The Center also disseminates research findings and related information through various Center publications. Funding for some Center programs is provided through grants and contracts from the U.S. Department of Education.
	Bendheim-Thomas Center for Research on Child Well Being The Bendheim Thoman Center for Research on Child Wellbeing (CRCW) is an interdisciplinary center at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Office of Population Research. Our mission is to stimulate basic research, educate faculty and students about issues related to children's policies, and influence policymakers and practitioners at the federal, state, and local levels.
