Mainframe Security for Examiners

Program Overview
This is an advanced technology course for examiners who may perform IT examinations at institutions that use a variety of mainframe security tools. The course will cover technologies such as MVS, RACF, and TopSecret security products.

Key Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participant will be able to:

  • Explain basic concepts and terms dealing with mainframe computers.
  • Explain how an audit of MVS security is conducted.
  • Explain how an audit of ACF2 security is conducted.
  • Explain how an audit of TopSecret security is conducted.
  • Explain how an audit of CICS security is conducted.
  • Explain how an audit of DB2 security is conducted.
  • Explain how an audit of MQSeries security is conducted.

Instructional Format
Facilitated classroom discussion and lectures.

Four days.

IT Subject Matter Experts and IT Examiners.

Prerequisites
Participant should have attended ITEC and all Basic and Intermediate Level courses.
