Meeting of Principal Administrative Officers- Closed Session

Ms. Linda Adams called the meeting to order.

Ms. Adams announced the many upcoming changes within the HR restructuring, including:

• HR freeze effective June 5, 2002- until further notice.
  
• New job codes needed for the newly EHRP system- effective June 5, 2002, these codes should be used currently in the IMPACT system under PD number

DDIR- Scientific Director's meeting on June 5, 2002- update from Olive Childers

• Ms. Olive Childers announced that at the last SD's meeting Dr. Zerhouni attended and discussed his vision of the NIH. Dr. Zerhouni also expressed that he would like to visit each IC in the next few months.
  
• Fred Walker and Marian Horowitz presented to the SD's the proposed HR Consolidation Plans. They announced that complete HR consolidation should occur by October 1, 2002. All HR personnel must report to a single, central HR organization, there will be no "shadow" offices.

Minutes of the Scientific Director' s meeting will be distributed shortly via email to principal administrative officers.

• Ms. Adams and the group came to a decision that the IAO group would begin recreating the personnel committees after the HR restructuring is complete.
  
• Ms. Adams announced that everyone needed to submit an idea or a presenter or agenda items that would be of interest. Please e-mail her your thoughts.
