Carol Kosary, D.Mgt., is the Program Manager for the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program, a cancer surveillance system that spans 20 population-based cancer registries that cover 26% of the US population. She also oversees the development, enhancement, maintenance, and deployment of large IT systems that support central cancer registry operations such as SEER*DMS and the development of electronic tools for data capture, including but not limited to electronic pathology (ePath).

Dr. Kosary holds a D.Mgt. from the University of Maryland as well as an M.A. and B.S. from the University of Illinois. Her research interests range from the development of data collection methodology to the capture of cancer surveillance data elements through the use of electronic medical records and the development of computer applications to assist and enhance cancer registry operations.
