The Division of Computational Bioscience (DCB) has a variety of collaborative research activities with many intramural research organizations at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), including other Federal Agencies, and Educational and Research Organizations. The followings are some of our collaborative research partners at NIH: CC, CSR, FDA, FIC, NCI, NEI, NHGRI, NHLBI, NIA, NIAAA, NIAID, NIAMS, NICHD, NIDA, NIDCD, NIDCR, NIDDK, NIEHS, NIGMS, NIMH, NINDS, NLM, OD, ORS.

DCB is committed to bring the latest biomedical technologies to the private sector through a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA).

Standard Forms and Agreements

• Letter of Intent (LOI) for CRADA – Prior to final approval of the CRADA, a Letter of Intent (LOI) may be signed allowing the research to proceed pending final negotiation and review.
• Materials-Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (Materials CRADA) – is a simpler form of CRADA. It is limited in time to one year and does not allow for funds to be provided for support of research personnel, but does provide for the transfer of intellectual property rights to the collaborator.
• Simple Letter of Agreement (SLA) – a replacement for the Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) used for the exchange of materials with outside organizations for research purposes.
• NCI Technology Transfer Branch
• Employee Invention Report (EIR) – used by NIH staff for reporting and evaluating inventions.
• Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA) – used for the exchange of confidential information.
