But here is a good thought for you to ponder. The US spends more on defense than any other eight nations combined. Reduce military spending and you also reduce a lot of entitlements such as retirements and VA benefits. The US defense spending is not decreasing, it is increasing. So you need to address your representatives why they think the US needs to spend so much on defense. The cost of military entitements reflects the price that those who benefit from war are willing to pay.

I have an MBA. The government has not hired me. The private sector has not hired not me. It is time for Americans to stop baby sitting other Americans who do not appreciate their sacrifice. I am also an injured veteran. I can quickly say, you probably were not worth defending. How do you feel about it? Those who get turned on by the system after they have protected the system do not need protection? By the way, my education comes from personal loans, not the GI bill.

Well mikeland your opinion is your own and you have the right to state that opinion. I will have to disagree with you though. I served for 9 years consecutive sea duty. Though I do have a GI bill there was never anytime for me to do school. I just recently got out of the military in November 2010. With no real skill or training for the civilian sector I could only find a job as a b- tech mechanic. And since I work in a shop 50 hours a week it's a little rough trying to squeeze a school into my

Your comment leads me to believe that you never served with any military service or that you tried and they rejected you for a lack of courage. If you served, you'd know what the service members give so you can give such statements. If a veteran loses a limb, should he/she just stay in the background because it offends you? Do you plan on using SS? I don't want to babysit you.
