As of April 30, 2012, NCBI will no longer host sequencing data from TCGA in the Sequence Read Archive. Users may continue to download TCGA data from NCBI until April 30, 2012. As of May 1, 2012, the Cancer Genomics Hub (CGHub) will be the new secure repository for storing, cataloging, and accessing cancer genome sequences and alignments from TCGA. CGHub is managed by the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), under a subcontract from SAIC-Frederick and will replace the function of the NCBI Sequence Read Archive for the TCGA program.
