Key Eligibility Criteria:

    • Diagnosis of a premalignant, primary, or metastatic solid tumor based upon either radiographic or biochemical testing or histological/cytological analysis
    • Requires surgery or biopsy as a part of the standard of care diagnosis, treatment and/or follow up
    • Age ≥ 16
    • Planning to undergo surgery or biopsy as part of the treatment plan*
    • Laboratory and physical examination parameters within acceptable limits by standard of practice guidelines prior to biopsy or surgery

    * Note: Patients will not be enrolled exclusively for the procurement of tissue samples.


      Study Outline:

      • Participants may be asked to provide blood samples before having the surgery or biopsy; some participants may have leukapheresis to collect extra white blood cells for study
      • During the surgery or biopsy, pieces of the tumor or growth will be collected, and some normal tissue near the tumor will also be collected
      • Information on the cancer and the surgery will also be collected
      • Treatment will not be provided as part of this study

      Additional Information:

      • This trial will be conducted at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD. It is open to patients who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of where they live in the United States.
      • There is no charge for medical care received at NIH Clinical Center.
