This publications database includes many of the most recent publications of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The database, however, is not complete. Additional publications are added on a continual basis. 

To find a publication, use any of the searches located in the gray box to the right. 

Users have the option of searching by the full text of the citation including the abstract, by author, by topic, by NIST publication series, or by date published. (Note: If searching by date published, user must include either a full text search or author search component or both.)

If you have difficulties in locating a specific publication, please contact inquiries@nist.gov and provide any information you may have, including title, author, publication series, or date published.

Search Tips:

• If searching by author you can:
• • Put quotes around the name "G E Fisher" and you will get publications with only that author - however - many NIST authors have published under different names so by limiting your search this way you may not find the publication you are looking for.  But if you know for certain the authors name as it appears on NIST publications this can help narrow your search.
    
• The search fields: full text, author, topic area, and series are Boolean OR searches not AND searches.
• • This means if you use more than one search field, i.e., topic and series, you could search for topic Manufacturing and series NIST SP and your results would be from either Manufacturing or NIST SPs or both but not necessarily both.
