Searching for USGS Historical Topographic Maps

To search for your desired map(s), you can search by:
      State name
      Map scale
      Map name (at this time, only the name printed on the original map is searchable)

Link to metadata of each map (fully compliant metadata is attached to GeoPDF files)
Download or open a GeoPDF of each map (file download may be slow depending on network)
Download to a spreadsheet (CSV) file of complete metadata for all maps found by a search

Occasionally maps were prepared and printed with a slightly different geographic area than a standard quadrangle to make the map more useful to the reader, such as extending coverage to include a state border or island. These nonstandard cells require additional processing, are being prepared separately, and will be posted in 2012.
