ABOUT THE ACTORS The roles of Bill W. and Dr. Bob are portrayed by nationally acclaimed actors Gary Kimble and Richard Springle. Kimble and Springle first portrayed Bill and Bob in the National Tour of the hit off Broadway Play “Bill W. and Dr. Bob”and for the past four years Gary and Richard have travelled the nation appearing as the beloved co founders of Alcoholics Anonymous (including at the 75th International A.A. Convention in San Antonio). These two professional actors also have a personal history of recovery from alcoholism and share 40 years of recovery and sobriety between them. They also appear as Bill W. & Dr. Bob in the upcoming landmark PBS Television Documentary “One Day At A Time – A History of Hope” which tells the history of one of America’s greatest gifts to the world – Alcoholics Anonymous and the global healing phenomenon of 12 Step Recovery which has saved the lives of millions of men and women around the world.

    • CDHS has been awarded a System of Care Implementation Grant from the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration SAMHSA and will receive up to one million dollars per year, for four years, to improve and integrate services and supports for children with serious behavioral health challenges and their families across the state. Colorado will focus on children with serious behavioral health issues from ages birth through 21, who are in, or at imminent risk of, out of home placement. Eight communities were chosen during the planning process to assist the state by developing their own local system of care plans, including: Arapahoe County, Chaffee County, El Paso County, Larimer County, Montrose County, Eagle County, Weld County, and the San Luis Valley.
