Glenda B. Cross
Senior Advisor External Outreach and Minority Affairs Glenda B. Cross has served since December 2004 as the Senior Advisor for External Outreach and Minority Affairs in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). In that position, she is responsible for promoting and developing effective public affairs marketing and outreach strategies nationwide with national banks, banking regulatory agencies, bank trade associations, minority media groups and organizations, diverse communities, other government agencies, and the general public in support of the OCC and the national banking system. She also serves as an Expert Advisor and consultant to the Deputy Comptroller for Public Affairs, the Chief of Staff, and other agency executives and staff on public affairs matters, particularly as they relate to minority banking issues. Prior to her current position, Ms. Cross served, from December 2001 to December 2004, as the Director for Community Affairs and Information Management. She also was Expert Advisor to the Deputy Comptroller for Community Affairs and the Chief Counsel on all community affairs outreach and information management matters. From January 1995 to December 2001, Ms. Cross served as the Director of Minority and Urban Affairs. Prior to serving in that position, she was the Director of Equal Employment Programs from June 1987 to December 1994. Ms. Cross has spent more than 30 years in positions related to civil rights activities. Ms. Cross holds a bachelor of science in business education from Morgan State University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 1972. |
