Ted Wartell, Director of Community Affairs Policy
Director of Community Affairs Policy Ted Wartell is Director of Community Affairs Policy in the Community Affairs Department of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). In this role, Mr. Wartell helps shape the OCC’s policies concerning national bank involvement in community and economic development initiatives and oversees the Community Affairs Department’s research and publications. Mr. Wartell previously served as Chief of Staff for Community Lending at Fannie Mae, where he helped manage Fannie Mae’s debt financing initiatives relating to affordable housing. He formally served as Director of the Office of Policy at the Small Business Administration and as a budget analyst for affordable housing programs at the Office of Management and Budget. Mr. Wartell holds a master's degree in Public Policy from University of Chicago and a bachelor’s of arts degree from Northwestern University. |
