SUMMARY
This is a bound collection of contredanses, figured group dances for four or more couples that were popular during the last half of the eighteenth century. Each dance is described on four pages: a title page that gives the name of the dance and its choreographer, a page of text describing the figure, a page showing the floor pattern of the dance, and a final page for the music.

Vol. 1 is in 2 parts. The second part has special t.-p.: Suite du Répertoire des bals, ou recueil de contredanses. Par le s. de La Cuisse. Paris, Melle Castagnery, 1762. The same title occurs in v. 2-3, following the special t.-p. indicated below.

Vols. 2-3 have title: Suite du Répertoire des bals, ou II.eme [-3.e] volume du recueil des airs et figures des meilleures et plus nouvelles contredanses ...

The dances are in <18 > "cahiers" or <100 > "feuilles," each dance constituting a "feuille" (with special t.-p., v. 2-3). These were issued both separately and in volumes.
