Project Management

The Division of Network Systems and Telecommunications/ CIT Telecommunications Branch provides Project Management expertise for large scale telephone installations and/or large telephone move projects.  Qualified CIT Project Telecommunications Specialists’ are dedicated to the Project Management process to ensure customer requirements are delivered in an efficient transition within the NIH community.  After determining the status of a Telephone Service Request or a Delegated Procurement Request, the CIT Management Team assigns the project an area of concentration:

Telecom Projects –   those requests for installation or moves of over 15 lines.

Project Management Office (PMO) Projects – assigned and managed by the CIT Cable Management Branch.

Call Center Projects – those requests involve set-up of local NIH Call Centers serving individual Institutes.

All persons serving on the Project Team will work together to document requirements, achieve financial agreements, purchase and deliver needed equipment and follow-up on outstanding issues to support a successful implementation.
