Training

There are several different types of training to inform NIH employees of the NEMS itself or of how activities should be conducted at the NIH to be protective of the environment (sometimes called competency training).

NEMS Awareness Training

The NEMS awareness training which all NIH employees are encouraged to take, is designed to briefly inform employees of their roles and responsibilities within the NEMS. This training reviews the NIH Environmental Policy, describes how the NEMS works, and discusses ways to reduce your impact on the environment.
 
A web-based version of the NEMS awareness training is available through the HHS Learning Portal .You will be subject to the destination site’s privacy policy when you follow the link.This course will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. You may download instructions on how to access the NEMS Awareness Training through the HHS Learning Portal below:
