Committees
As an independent agency created by the Congress, the Legal Services Corporation receives its annual funding from the House and Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies. Congressional oversight of LSC is conducted by the Judiciary Subcommittee on Court, Commercial and Administrative Law in the House of Representatives and the full Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions in the Senate.
