is a Regional Interest Group, formed in the early 1990s, that serves researchers at the NIH as well as those from participating labs at Johns Hopkins University, The University of Maryland, The George Washington University, Georgetown University, the Virginia Commonwealth University, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and even some local companies that conduct or deal in RNA related research. 

Regular meetings of the RNA Club occur at 4:00 PM on the first Tuesday of each month (except July & August) in Building 31A, Room 2A48 on the NIH Bethesda Campus.  Parking is available in the visitor parking lot across from Building 31A (ask Rich Maraia beforehand for a parking coupon).  Meetings consist of two 30-minute scientific presentations.  The schedule of speakers is usually set several months in advance and can be obtained from Rich Maraia.  The seminar Titles and Speakers for upcoming meetings are e-mailed through the NIH RNA Club listserve 2 weeks prior and again one or two days prior to each meeting.   The moderator is usually Richard Maraia.  Meetings usually end by 5:30 PM but use of the room for RNA related issues can be extended (contact Rich Maraia).
