Blake R. Davis began his career with the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) in 1988 as a correctional intern in Washington, D.C. and Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Phoenix (AZ). He subsequently served in positions of increasing responsibility, including Case Manager at FCI Phoenix, Unit Manager at FCI Safford (AZ), and Executive Assistant at Administrative Maximum Florence (CO). Mr. Davis was promoted to Associate Warden, and served at FCI Milan (MI) and Federal Medical Center (FMC) Rochester (MN) in that capacity. He was subsequently named Deputy Assistant Director, Correctional Programs Division (CPD), in the Central Office. Mr. Davis served as Warden at FCI Englewood (CO) and U.S. Pentintiary (USP) Florence (CO), prior to being named Complex Warden at Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Florence (CO) in August 2009. As Complex Warden, Mr. Davis has had a tremendous positive impact on the FCC’s operations, enhancing security and public safety. In January 2009, he became a member of the Senior Executive Service. His success is attributed to the aggressive implementation of programs to bolster national security interests in the areas of gang and terrorist management. He has also demonstrated unprecedented leadership in the BOP through innovative fiscal initiatives and facility management. Mr. Davis was appointed as Assistant Director for CPD on January 31, 2012.

Mr. Davis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. In July 2011, Mr. Davis received a Bureau of Prisons National Wardens’ Award for Excellence in Prison Management.
