Mid-Career to Senior Level Research Programs

DCEG welcomes mid- to senior-level career researchers for short- and long-term research visits, supported through a variety of sources:

Gilbert Beebe Radiation Fellowship

The Gilbert Beebe Radiation Fellowship is intended for mid- to senior-level epidemiologists or biostatisticians. Recipients work in the Radiation Epidemiology Branch of the National Cancer Institute and the Radiation Effects Research Foundation (RERF) in Hiroshima, Japan on research related to the atomic bomb survivors and other radiation topics.

ORISE Senior Fellow Program

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) ORISE Senior Fellow Program provides opportunities for experienced scientists who wish to make major changes in the direction of their research careers, or who wish to broaden their scientific background by acquiring new research capabilities.

Sabbatical Support through the Intergovernmental Personnel Act Mobility Program

The Intergovernmental Personnel Act Mobility Program provides for the temporary assignment of personnel between the Federal Government and state and local governments, colleges and universities, Indian tribal governments, federally funded research and development centers, and other eligible organizations.
