Comment Policy

This blog provides a forum to discuss different physical activity outreach and promotion strategies. We encourage your comments! Your ideas and concerns are important to ensure that a broad range of persons interested in promoting physical activity are active and informed participants in the discussion.

This is a moderated blog and we expect that participants will treat each other with respect. All comments are reviewed before posting. Note that we will not post:

  • Comments that contain vulgar language; personal attacks of any kind; or offensive terms that target specific individuals or groups of any kind
  • Comments that are spam, are clearly off topic, that promote services or products, or that make unsupported accusations
  • Comments that address Federal health policies, programs, and resource allocations as these areas are the responsibility of each implementing Federal agency
  • Comments that contain links. Should a comment that has a link in it be able to be approved, the link contained in the comment will be removed and the comment will be approved. If a link is removed from a comment, it will be communicated to the public by adding the language "link removed" into the comment.

We recognize that the Web is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time. However, given the need to manage federal resources effectively, we will review comments and post them from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST., Monday through Friday. Comments submitted after hours or on weekends or holidays will be read and posted as early as possible the next business day.

To protect your own privacy and the privacy of others, please do not include phone numbers or email addresses in the body of your comment.

Medical Information Policy

It is not the intention of ODPHP or HHS to provide medical advice to people about their personal health, but rather to provide information that helps people improve their health and their communities. As a best practice, ODPHP and HHS encourage individuals to talk with a qualified physician who can diagnose problems and answer personal medical questions.
