On June 16, 2011, the FDIC's New York Region hosted a Regional Regulatory Teleconference. Our topic for the teleconference was “HMDA Data Validation Procedures.”

The 90 minute session discussed the regulatory expectations for HMDA compliance, including common pitfalls and potential violations that could result in civil money penalties.

Our speakers, comprised of FDIC staff, provided their unique insights from an examination perspective.

The teleconference was primarily open to FDIC-supervised institutions in the New York Region.
