FDIC Atlanta Region Regulatory Conference Call:
Deferred Tax Assets
Commercial and Industrial Lending

The FDIC's Atlanta Region will host a Regional Regulatory Conference Call on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 10:00 am (Eastern Time). This conference call will cover two topics:

  1. Deferred Tax Assets
  2. Commercial and Industrial Lending

Regional Accountant Edmund S. Pooler will discuss “Deferred Tax Assets.” The presentation will provide an overview of the accounting for deferred tax assets. The presentation will also cover the economic events that create deferred tax assets and the treatment of deferred tax assets under regulatory capital rules.

Senior Examination Specialist Tony H. Womack will discuss “Commercial and Industrial Lending.” The presentation will focus on current trends in commercial and industrial (“C&I”) lending and sound practices for managing related credit risk.

The 90 minute call will include a question and answer session following each presentation. The call is open to all FDIC-supervised institutions located in the Atlanta Region (AL, FL, GA, NC, SC, VA, WV). Bank directors, officers, and staff members are welcome to participate. Participants may call in from any location and are not required to be onsite at their institution.
