FDIC Kansas City Region Regulatory Teleconference:
Forward-Looking Supervision

On August 24, 2010, the FDIC's Kansas City Region will host a Regional Regulatory Teleconference. Our topic for the teleconference will be "Forward-Looking Supervision.”

The 90-minute session will:

  • Discuss components of an effective risk management program;
  • Evaluate the impact of weak risk management practices, and discuss elements of a Forward-Looking Risk Assessment;
  • Provide an overview of Regulatory Policies, Procedures, and Strategies related to Forward-Looking Supervision;
  • Provide recommendations for banks; and
  • Include time for questions and answers.

Our speakers, comprised of FDIC staff, will provide their unique insights from an examination perspective.

The teleconference is primarily open to FDIC-supervised institutions in the Kansas City Region. Bank directors, officers, and staff members are welcome to participate. Participants may call in from any location and are not required to be onsite at their institution.

Registration Information
There is no requirement to pre-register for the call. To participate, simply follow the instructions provided in the email invitation that was previously distributed to all FDIC-supervised institutions in the Kansas City Region. If you did not receive an email invitation, but wish to participate in the call, please send an email to kcconferencecall@FDIC.gov and include your name, title, and bank name/location.

To allow sufficient time for all participants to be connected, we appreciate your efforts to call at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the call if possible.
