Risk Factors and Screening (Healthy People 2010 Goals met)

This model run shows the combined effect on projected CRC mortality through 2020 if the Healthy People 2010 objectices for both risk factors and screening are achieved. Chemotherapy continues at baseline (projected trend) levels.

• Risk factors with specific HP 2010 objectives include: smoking status, obesity, physical activity, fruit and vegetable intake, and multivitamin use.
• Screening tests with HP 2010 objectives are Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT) and Endoscopy (Sigmoidoscopy or Colonoscopy).
