Practical Software and System Measurement (PSM) Users Group

Presented status of SwA Measurement Working Group work at the 12th PSM Users Group conference in July 2008 and held SwA Measurement Workshop
Continued working with PSM leadership to facilitate proper alignment of methodologies and tools between PSM and SwA Measurement
Practical Framework for SwA and Information Security Measurement was published by PSM and is available for download.

SwA working groups to facilitate appropriate integration of measures into their work programs

Acquisition: Developed and received feedback on initial draft acquisition measures
Processes and Practices: Collaborated on identifying process measures and providing inputs into Assurance Process Reference Model (PRM)
Technology and Tools: Identified common touch points and relevant inputs. Currently working on identifying specific measures based on enumerations and existing tools. Further information on tools is available from the T&T Working Group and at the NIST SAMATE site.

Examples

We invite members of the SwA community to share their experience implementing measurement programs, including specific measures that they found useful or not, approaches that were successful, and anything else that they would like to share.
