To search these files quickly, you must know the section number of the topic you are looking for. For example, our regulation on the authority of an agency is published in section 511.202 of title 5, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). To find 5 CFR 511.202 online, you would search for 5CFR511.202. The part of the law that explains the basis for grading positions is published in section 5104 of title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.).
