PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS

NCI Center for Cancer Research

The NCI Center for Cancer Research (CCR) is the largest component of NCI’s intramural research program. CCR investigators help translate new scientific discoveries into state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and therapies for cancer patients. BRB staff members collaborate with CCR investigators in the areas of statistical genomics and biostatistics.

BRB staff members also collaborate extensively with CCR investigators on the design and analysis of laboratory and clinical studies utilizing DNA microarrays. Dr. Joanna Shih, BRB, serves as principal statistician for numerous collaborations with CCR investigators. Dr. Eric Polley collaborates with investigators on genomic and gene expression studies and conducts a semi-monthly class in analysis of gene expression and copy number change data using the BRB-ArrayTools software developed by the Biometric Research Branch. Dr. Simon and Dr. Yingdong Zhao are active in collaborating with CCR investigators on genomic and immunological studies.
