Frederick National Lab Computer Software Training

Data Management Services, Inc.the Computer & Statistical Services contractor, provides on-site computer software training exclusively for all Frederick National Lab employees. All classes are held in the Training Room in Building 362 located on the Frederick National Lab campus at Fort Detrick. The cost of $100 for full-day classes and $75 for half-day workshops is billed to the training account of the student's center number.

Schedule

The current schedule is now available. Two sessions are scheduled annually: Spring (April-June) and Fall (October-December). Full-day classes are from 9 AM-4 PM and half-day workshops are either 9 AM-Noon or 1-4 PM. Additional classes are scheduled according to demand and available resources.

Custom/Closed Training Sessions

Any Frederick National Lab employee, supervisor or manager can arrange an exclusive regular or custom class for a minimum of four (4) students. If you are interested in scheduling a class for your group, contact the Training Administrator for more information.

Registration

Pre-requisites

Prior to registering for any class, be sure to review the course description in the Course Catalog. Pre-requisites are guidelines to assist students in selecting the class best suited to their experience and needs. Actual attendance or formal training is not required, but prospective students are encouraged to closely evaluate their skills to insure they register for the appropriate level.

How to Register

Complete the on-line registration process, print the form, and send the authorized form to the Training Administrator for processing. During the registration process, you will receive an automated email confirming your registration; and upon receipt of the authorized registration form, students will receive a second email notification confirming their enrollment in the class. Access your Student Transcript to confirm your enrollment status.

Cancellation Policy

To avoid possible charges to your center number, email notification of cancellation must be received no later than three (3) business days prior to the class. We understand that some situations are unavoidable and encourage substitutions. Due to the required minimum of four students per class, if you are unable to arrange for substitution and have not provided adequate notice, your cost center may be charged.
