Job Requirements



Basic Requirements

  • U.S. native or naturalized citizen
  • Less than 44 years of age (this may be adjusted upward for current/prior active duty service)
  • Meet current medical and security requirements

Degrees

Qualified degree from an accredited program, usually approved in American Universities and Colleges (published by the American Council on Education).

The following disciplines are commissionable at the Baccalaureate level:

  • Dental Hygiene: Program must be accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association (ADA)
  • Medical Technology: Program must be accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences
  • Physician Assistant: Program must be accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.

The following disciplines are commissionable at the Doctoral level:

  • Optometry: Program must be accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education at the American Optometric Association
  • Podiatry: Program must be accredited by the Council on Podiatric Education of the American Podiatric Medical Association

Licensure

If applicable, a current, unrestricted, and valid dental license to practice in one of the 50 States; Washington, DC; Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; U.S. Virgin Islands; or Guam.
