I Need Help Paying My Phone Bill

The Lifeline Telephone Assistance Program provides a monthly discount on one telephone service, including wireless service, for eligible low-income consumers. The program ensures participants have the opportunities and security that phone service brings, including being able to connect to jobs, family and emergency services.

Lifeline is supported by the federal Universal Service Fund and is available in every state and U.S. territory, as well as tribal lands.

To see if you qualify for the program, use the Lifeline Eligibility Pre-Screen Tool or read the Lifeline Eligibility Requirements.  Once you have determined that you are eligible, you must apply for Lifeline through your local telephone company or designated state agency. Visit the Lifeline Support website for more information.
