This Week in CTP – Back-to-School Twitter Chat & Webinars

As part of its Back-to-School series, CTP hosted a Twitter chat on Thursday, August 23rd to provide parents with additional ways to talk to youth about living tobacco-free. Key partners including the CDC, SAMHSA, NCI and the Surgeon General headlined the chat along with CTP. During the chat, we shared youth and tobacco statistics, discussed ways to talk to youth, and answered questions from chat participants. Please follow CTP on Twitter disclaimer icon and the hashtag #Time2Talk to join the conversation. To learn more about encouraging youth to live tobacco-free, visit our Back-to-School landing page.

CTP hosted a compliance training webinar on Tuesday, August 21st, titled: “Common Issues Identified During FDA’s Scientific Evaluation of Substantial Equivalence Reports.”  David Ashley, Ph.D., director of CTP’s Office of Science, along with Matthew Holman, Ph.D., director of the Office of Science’s Product Sciences Division, spoke about the recurring scientific issues FDA has observed across many substantial equivalence reports. The webinar also included an update on substantial equivalence report reviews and answered questions from participants. Stay tuned for CTP’s next webinar, “Compliance Check Inspection Notifications,” on September 5th.
