Veterinary Student Employment Program
Program Overview
This program is no longer active. On December 27, 2010, President Obama signed Executive Order 13562, Recruiting and Hiring Students and Recent Graduates, which created the Pathways Programs. The Pathways Programs consist of three components: The Internship Program, The Recent Graduates Program, and the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program.

Internship Program
The Internship Program replaces the formerly known Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) and Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP). The Student Internship Program is designed to provide students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with opportunities to work in agencies and explore federal careers while still in school. Internship Program participants are referred to as "interns." FSIS is currently using the Internship Program under Pathways to hire paid interns.

Meet the Students from Previous Years
The students from previous sessions of the Veterinary Student Employment Program offer some comments and insight regarding their experiences.
