EA-12-03 GPO Rider for Special Edition CFR and Compilation Books

Due to the overwhelming interest in the Special Edition Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Compilation of Federal Ethics Laws books, the U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is announcing a rider for these items. OGE reached an agreement with the Government Printing Office (GPO) for agencies to ride our requisition order, anticipating a large demand for this item. To order copies, please complete an SF-1, Printing and Binding Requisition Form, and forward directly to GPO before Thursday, August 23, 2012.

EA-12-01: FY2012 Quarter 3 Training Schedule

The U.S. Office of Government Ethics FY2012 Quarter 3 training schedule is now available.  This quarter, OGE will focus on offering 278 training to assist reviewers with reviewing reports for technical accuracy and identifying potential financial conflicts of interest during the 278 filing season.  OGE will also offer the New Ethics Official Certificate Program in May and June which will be announced in the next few weeks.

The U.S. Office of Government Ethics FY2012 Quarter 2 training schedule is now available.  Course offerings include: 

  • Introductory level training on conflicts of interest, certifying 450 reports, elements of a complete ethics program, seeking and post employment 
  • Introductory level certificate program on analyzing gift issues 
  • Workshops on financial disclosure, outside activities, and widely attended gatherings

EA-11-06: FY2012 Quarter 1 Training Schedule

The U.S. Office of Government Ethics FY2012 Quarter 1 training schedule is now available.  Course offerings include:

  • Introductory level training on conflicts of interest, certifying 450 reports, and elements of a complete ethics program.

  • Introductory level certificate program on analyzing gift issues 
  • Workshops on adding value through cooperation, effective ethics education, identifying new entrant filers, outside activities, and widely attended gatherings. 
  • A NEW workshop on effective planning for training.  Effective planning can mean the difference between successful and unsuccessful ethics training. In this workshop participants will discuss the challenges they faced in carrying out their 2011 training plans and identify ways to overcome them in 2012. Participants will be asked to think strategically about the who, what, when and how of their training programs and will begin to create an outline of their training plans for 2012. 
  • Web-based training on essential skills for training online, and OGE Form 450 Review

EA-11-03: OGE 2011 Program Excellence and Innovation Awards Announcement

The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is pleased to invite submissions of nominations for the OGE 2011 Program Excellence and Innovation Awards. The awards will be presented at the 18th National Government Ethics Conference which will be held September 13-15, 2011 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida. The deadline for receipt of the nominations is May 27, 2011. Please refer to the attachment for nomination information.
