“As we kick off World Trade Month, we are reminded of what a critical role trade plays in creating jobs and economic growth. Exports have been a key driver of America's economic recovery. And, with more than 95 percent of the world’s population living outside our borders, exports will continue to help our economy grow.

“The simple fact is that the more American companies export, the more they produce. The more they produce, the more workers they need. And that means good paying jobs here at home.

“From reaching agreements on three trade deals – with Korea, Colombia and Panama – to a government-wide effort to break down trade barriers and create a level playing field for U.S. businesses around the world, to setting a goal to double exports in five years, this Administration is absolutely committed to an ambitious trade agenda that will result in a stronger American economy and more American jobs.”
