Our talented designers have developed many websites across NIH and have years of experience with Web and user-interface design. We offer advice and suggestions based on real-world scenarios.

You can rest assured that we’re experts in dealing with usability, Web standards, and best practices. We’re also familiar with HHS policies and other federal regulations such as Section 508 compliance (accessibility to people with disabilities) that must be considered when building a government website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does it cost to design and develop a website?
A: Since we do custom design, it depends on your needs. We’ll go through a requirements gathering stage to determine the scope of the project and provide you with a written cost estimate.

Q: How long does it take to design and develop a website?
A: It usually takes between three and 12 months, depending on the scope of the project. However, we may be able to accommodate a shorter timeframe if necessary.

Q: How do you bill?
A: Once you approve the cost estimate and timeline, you need to provide a CIT account number, which is associated with a CAN. If you don’t know your CIT account number, please contact your financial officer.

Q: How many design concepts do you create?
A: We create two to three concepts. These are typically Photoshop mock-ups that convey the look-and-feel of your site. Then we go through several rounds of revisions to refine the design based on your feedback.

Q: Can you maintain my website after it goes live?
A: Yes, we can maintain your site on an ongoing basis after it goes live. We bill maintenance work at an hourly rate, so the cost depends on the number and complexity of your requests. Turn-around time also depends on the level of effort involved, but you’ll find our service responsive and convenient.
