The Recovery Month campaign promotes the societal benefits of prevention and treatment for mental and substance use disorders, celebrates people in recovery, lauds the contributions of treatment and service providers, and promotes the message that recovery in all its forms is possible.







Read Recovery Month Spanish Content

Some of the content available in Spanish includes information about Community Events, and How to Get Involved. As content is developed for the English site, Spanish content will also be created. The Spanish version of the 2012 Toolkit is created at the same time as the English version.

Access tools, tips and information on how to sponsor and hold an event. Events are an effective way to raise awareness, garner support, expand your donor base, and increase visibility for your organization.

Post an Event
Enter and post information on an event so people can easily find and participate in your event. Post photos, logos, and flyers to event listings to further convey the spirit and flavor of an event.

Embed the Recovery Month events widget on your website. This interactive tool can display a selected event and also allows users to search for another event on the Recovery Month website. It is a visual way to link an event on Recovery Month.

The Recovery Month inspirational quote widget allows users to view a new inspirational quote each day and share the quote with others. Add the widget to your website or blog to help inspire others, provide support, and promote awareness of Recovery Month.

Enter the Community Event Award Contest
Enter your event in the Recovery Month community event contest. New in 2010, SAMHSA is pleased to acknowledge the efforts of those who planned and organized events for Recovery Month with a Community Event Award. Event Planners can check a box to receive information for award consideration when they submit their event.
Issue a Proclamation for Your Town or Community
