EDGAR Filer Websites

For detailed instructions on making electronic filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission through the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR) system, please see the latest version of the EDGAR Filer Manual.

  • EDGAR Gateway Website (http://www.portal.edgarfiling.sec.gov)
The SEC maintains a number of websites and URLs to support the filing process. As more sites and URLs have been developed, it has become more complicated for filers to find the correct site for a single function. To give filers a central location from which they can navigate to the EDGAR website that they need to access rather than have to remember the specific URL to each of the EDGAR filing websites, we created an EDGAR Gateway Website.

Use of the new EDGAR Gateway Website is optional. The existing EDGAR Filer Management, EDGAR Filing and EDGAR OnlineForms/XML Websites can still be accessed as they have previously. With the implementation of EDGAR Release 9.1, on September 26, 2005, the new EDGAR Gateway Website is now available.

  • EDGAR Filer Management Website (https://www.filermanagement.edgarfiling.sec.gov)
Before you can electronically file with the SEC on EDGAR, you must become an EDGAR filer with authorized access codes. This website will allow you to create a Form ID and submit it for authorization to the SEC. Upon acceptance, you will receive a unique CIK via e-mail. You will then return to this site and use your CIK and a passphrase to create your EDGAR access codes. Once you have your access codes, you may use EDGAR to begin electronically filing. This website may also be used to regenerate your access codes.

  • EDGAR Filer Website (https://www.edgarfiling.sec.gov)
This is the primary EDGAR filing website.

  • EDGAR OnlineForms Website (https://www.onlineforms.edgarfiling.sec.gov)
Use this website for assembly and transmission of ownership filings (specifically form types 3, 3/A, 4, 4/A, 5, 5/A), notice of exempt offerings of securities pursuant to Regulation D (Form D, D/A). and Transfer Agent Forms (specifically form types TA-1, TA-2, TA-W).
