Mr. Howells originally joined CTEP as a Clinical Research Pharmacist with the Drug Management and Authorization Section, Pharmaceutical Management Branch in September, 2001. His duties include oversight, review, and coordination of the pharmaceutical aspects of many of the biologic agents in the CTEP Drug Development Program. Mr. Howells also currently serves as the Project Officer for the NCI Clinical Repository contract.

Mr. Howells received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988. He served as a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist and Investigational Drug Service Pharmacist at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute for many years before joining CTEP. Mr. Howells became a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist in 1999, by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties.
