Metro's Mobile Website Menu

A number of Metro's online services are optimized for your Web-enabled phone. These services include: Metro's Trip Planner, next scheduled departure for Metrorail or Metrobus service near you, next Metrorail train arrival times, next Metrobus arrival times, elevator/escalator outages, service disruptions, a system map, and SmarTrip® online account access. Simply navigate to Metro's mobile site on your phone's browser and find out how easy it is to access our information.

Trip Planner

To plan your trip on your Web-enabled phone, go to Metro's mobile site and:

  1. Select 1 Trip Planner.
  2. Enter the starting point of your trip. As with the full Trip Planner, you may enter an address, an intersection or a landmark (such as White House or a Metrorail station name). When entering an address, do not enter city, state or zip code.
  3. Select the Next button.
  4. Enter your destination. The same rules listed above at #2 apply.
  5. Select the Next button.
  6. Select whether your time is the time you want to leave by or arrive by.
  7. Select the time.
  8. Select an option to minimize: time, walking or transfers.
  9. Select the mode of transportation you'd like to use.
  10. Select the Next button.

Three itineraries will be displayed for you. At any time during the process, you can select Start Over at the bottom of the page to go back to the beginning or Home to return to the main menu.

Next Scheduled Departure

To view next scheduled departures for Metrorail or Metrobus on your Web-enabled phone, go to Metro's mobile site and:

  1. Select 2 Next Scheduled Departure.
  2. Enter your current location. You may enter an address, an intersection or a landmark (such as White House or a Metrorail station name). When entering an address, do not enter city, state or zip code.
  3. Select the Next button.
  4. Enter the bus or rail line or leave blank for all.
  5. Select the Next button.

A list of next scheduled departures will display. At any time during the process, you can select Start Over at the bottom of the page to go back to the beginning or Home to return to the main menu.

Next Train

To access next Metrorail train arrival information on your Web-enabled phone, go to Metro's mobile site and:

  1. Select 3 Next Train.
  2. Click on the first letter of the station's name.
  3. Select the appropriate station.

Arrival times for the next three trains going in each direction will be displayed. At any time during the process, you can select Start Over at the bottom of the page to go back to the beginning or Home to return to the main menu.

Next Bus

To access next Metrobus arrival information on your Web-enabled phone, go to Metro's mobile site and:

  1. Select 4 Next Bus.
  2. Enter the stop ID of the stop where you currently are or select your bus line.
  3. Select Go.
  4. If you entered a stop ID, the approximate waiting time for the next three buses will be displayed. If you selected a bus line, you will be prompted for your direction. Select the direction.
  5. Select the stop you're traveling from.

The approximate waiting time for the next three buses will be displayed.

Elevator/Escalator Outages

To access elevator/escalator outage information on your Web-enabled phone, go to Metro's mobile site and:

  1. Select 5 Elevator/Escalator Outages. Metrorail stations with elevator or escalator outages will appear in a list.
  2. Select the station you want to view.

All elevator and escalator outages at the station will be displayed. At any time during the process, you can select Start Over at the bottom of the page to go back to the beginning or Home to return to the main menu.

Disruptions

To access information about services disruptions on Metrorail and Metrobus on your Web-enabled phone, go to Metro's mobile site. If there are no service disruptions, there won't be a link. If there are service disruptions, select 6 Disruptions to view them.

System Map

To view the system map on your Web-enabled phone, go to Metro's mobile site and select 7 System Map. You will have options to view a full system map or any of the four quadrants of the map.

SmarTrip® Mobile Site

To access your SmarTrip® online account, go to Metro's mobile site and select 8 SmarTrip Mobile. From there, you will be able to log into your existing SmarTrip® account to check your balance and your three most recent usage records, as well as find information on how to report your SmarTrip® card lost or stolen.
