February 1: The application for the NIH Clinical Center's Clinical and Translational Research Course for Ph.D. Students opens Friday, February 1, 2013. Applications will be accepted through March 1, 2013.
February 4: The Protocol Navigators Training Series will continue on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the NIH. This event is hosted by the NIH IRP Protocol Navigation Training Program. Last month's seminar is available on-demand [disclaimer].
February 13: The next Great Teachers presentation will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Richard J. Whitley, MD, will discuss "Herpes Simplex Virus: From Encephalitis to Gene Therapy." Great Teachers is a sub-series of the Clinical Center Grand Rounds.

- The NIH Director's Wednesday Afternoon Lecture Series (WALS)
The WALS includes weekly scientific talks by some of the world's top researchers in the biomedical sciences. All lectures are held in Masur Auditorium, Building 10 of the NIH main campus, and are open to the public.
- Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research Course

- Principles of Clinical Pharmacology Course
This course consists of a weekly lecture series covering the fundamentals of clinical pharmacology as a translational scientific discipline focused on rational drug development and utilization in therapeutics. View this week's schedule (22 KB).
- Demystifying Medicine for Ph.D.s
This series provides Ph.D. students, clinicians, and program managers with weekly lectures designed to bridge the gap between advances in biology and their application to major human diseases. View this week's schedule.
March 1: The deadline to apply to the NIH's 2013 Summer Internship Program (SIP) is Friday, March 1, 2013.
March 27-April 1: The NIH Clinical Center's Office of Clinical Research Training and Medical Education will exhibit at the Student National Medical Associations' Annual Medical Education Conference [disclaimer] March 27-31, 2013 in Louisville, KY.
September 27: The 2012 Pharmacogenomics in Clinical Practice Symposium was held Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the NIH Clinical Center.
October 9: The 2012 Resident Research Career Day was held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the NIH Clinical Center.
October 17-18: The 2012 Pharmacokinetics Modeling Workshop was held October 17-18, 2012 at the NIH Center for Information Technology.
December 17, 2012: The NIH Clinical Center Director's Award Ceremony was held Monday, December 17, 2012. Two OCRTME teams received awards during the ceremony: the Medical Research Scholars Program, and the Clinical and Translational Research Course for Ph.D. Students.
