Video Transcript

A catheter introduced through a small incision in the leg delivers a tiny parachute-like net past the site of the blockage.

A balloon dilatation catheter is delivered to the site and then expanded.

The carotid stent is then delivered to the blockage site. A protective covering is removed automatically expanding the stent in the vessel.

Another balloon dilatation catheter is positioned inside the stent.

Any dislodged plaque is captured by the filter basket.

The embolic protection device is collapsed and removed and the stent remains in place.
