Our helplines are here to help connect you with information and resources to answer your health questions. We cannot provide a medical diagnosis or answer medical questions, but we can help you learn more. All medical questions should be directed to a doctor or nurse.

Our operators are trained to handle relay calls for those who use relay services. If you call after hours, you will be given the option to leave a message. An information and referral specialist or breastfeeding peer counselor will return your call on the next business day.

Our helplines

Information and referral helpline

Trained English- and Spanish-speaking information and referral specialists will provide organizational referrals to assist you with any health questions or find and order free health information for you.

National breastfeeding helpline

Our breastfeeding peer counselors can answer common breastfeeding questions and walk you through challenges on issues ranging from latching to pumping and storage. Our peer counselors receive extensive and ongoing training from La Leche League International and will give you the support you need to make breastfeeding a success. The helpline is open to all breastfeeding mothers, partners, prospective parents, family members, and health professionals seeking to learn more about breastfeeding.
