Browser Support
For PC users (Windows 98, 2000 and XP):
Internet Explorer 5.X or higher, Netscape 6.1 or higher and
Firefox 1.0
For Mac users (OS 9.x, OS X):
Safari 1.x
While the ERS web site will generally function in many other
browser/platform combinations, any combination not specified above
may not display pages optimally or provide the functionality needed
to fully use the site.
For best results, regardless of browser/OS platform, users
should enable JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Although
these features are not required unless specifically noted within
the content, these features will help provide the most consistent
overall look and feel.
Plug-Ins
We have a large number of documents in Adobe Acrobat® Portable
Document Format (PDF).
PDFformat is used to preserve the content and layout of our hard
copy publications. Publications in PDF can only be viewed and
printed using the Adobe AcrobatReader®, version 5.0 or higher. You
can download and get help using the Acrobat Reader at the Adobe
Systems, Inc. site. The downloadable Acrobat Reader software is
available at NO CHARGE from Adobe. If you need help with printing

Documents created inMicrosoft Word, and Spreadsheets created
inMicrosoft Excelcan be viewed with Microsoft Office software, or
for those that do not have the software, a FREE viewer is available
that you can download at Microsoft's Download Center.
The ERS website uses theFlashformat for interactive content. In
order to access Flash content, users will need the browser-based
plug-in installed.
Version 6.x or higher, or specifically noted within the
content.
