Updating the owner information is essential when implementing a password on a BlackBerry. When the BlackBerry is locked and password protected the owner information will be displayed.
For all Blackberries:
- Highlight the "Options" icon, click the scroll wheel.
- Highlight "Owner", click scroll wheel.
- Next to "Name:" type in "Property of the US Government", hit enter key.
- Under "Information:" type in "If found, return to:", click enter.
- Type in your business address, when completed, click scroll wheel and highlight "Save", click scroll wheel.
- Done.
