This report provides an annual update of cancer incidence, mortality, and trends in the United States. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Cancer Society, the National Cancer Institute, and the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries have collaborated since 1998 to create the Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer. The current report, published online in January 2013, features the burden and trends in human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated cancers among persons aged 15 years or older and HPV vaccination coverage levels among adolescents aged 13 to 17 years.
