Login Help

E-Verify has strict user ID and password rules that all E-Verify users must follow.  Safeguarding personal information for every worker that is verified through E-Verify is very important.

Password Requirements

Passwords are case sensitive and must be:

  • Between 8-14 characters long
  • Different from the assigned User ID
  • Changed every 90 days

Additionally, all passwords must contain:

  • At least one uppercase or lowercase letter
  • At least one number and at least one special character (special characters include ! @ $ % * ( ) < > ? : ; { } + - ~)
  • No more than two identical and consecutive characters in any position from the previous password
  • A letter or special character (not a number) in the first and last positions

For password security, it is recommended that passwords should NOT:

  • Contain any dictionary word
  • Contain any proper noun or the name of any person, pet, child or fictional character, nor any employee serial number, Social Security number, birth date, phone number or any information that could be readily guessed about the creator of the password
  • Contain any simple pattern of letters or numbers, such as "qwerty" or "xyz123"
  • Be any word, noun or name spelled backwards

Passwords expire every 90 days. E-Verify will automatically ask you to create a new password when the old one expires.

Forgotten Password

We realize it can be challenging to think of a secure password and even harder to remember it.  Fortunately, if you forget your password, you can reset it yourself.

To reset your password:

  • Click 'Forgot your password' on the E-Verify login page.
  • Enter your user ID and click 'Submit.'
  • Enter the answers to the three challenge questions you created when you logged in to E-Verify for the first time.
  • If you answer the questions correctly, E-Verify will prompt you to create a new password.

If you're unable to reset your password, contact your program administrator, who can reset your password.  If you need additional help, click Contact E-Verify and contact E-Verify Customer Support for assistance.

User ID

Every E-Verify user has a unique user ID.  Your program administrator will assign you a user ID when he or she registers you as an E-Verify user.  Your user ID can't be changed once it has been created.

Forgotten User ID

To find out your user ID:

  • Click 'Forgot your User ID'on the E-Verify login page.
  • Enter your e-mail address and click 'Submit.'  You must enter the same e-mail address that is in your E-Verify user profile.
  • If the e-mail address you entered matches what we have on file, E-Verify will e-mail you with your user ID.

If you're unable to find out your user ID, contact your program administrator, who can look up your user ID.  If you need additional help, click Contact E-Verify for assistance.
