Did you know?

Even a mouse can snore like a human

Dormouse

The dormouse is a small rodent that spends up to a third of its life hibernating—sleeping and sometimes even snoring! The article below includes a video of a dormouse, sleeping on his back, in the hand of an English wildlife officer.

The mouse can be heard snoring loudly, but the officer holding the mouse notes that the animal is healthy and is not having any trouble breathing. What do you think a dormouse or your family pet is dreaming about when he or she sleeps?

Listen to the dormouse's sounds here.
